Seminar: Business Innovation in a Living Economy

We are delighted to partner up for a second year with Greek member of the European Green Party, MEP Nikos Chrysogelos, in order to launch our latest report "Business Innovation in a Living Economy" at the European Parliament in Brussels.

The seminar will take place on June 4th, 9:00am - 11:00am, and it will focus on presenting the research done by Worldwatch Institute Europe in the role of business in a Living Economy. Additionally, highlights from Worldwatch Institute’s flagship publication State of the World 2013: Is Sustainability Still Possible? will be presented.

Living Economy is more than simply being green. Profiled in this report are several European companies who have embraced an entirely new paradigm, moving traditional business targets to reward long-term prosperity in a broad ecosystem over short-term, profits in a small fish bowl

“Far beyond increasing satisfaction for ever more demanding customers, Living Economy fundamentally changes the entire business organism, encompassing supply chains, policies, and management structures, lending companies resilience and preparedness to adapt swiftly to changes in the market,”

Worldwatch Institute Europe's director and researchers will be joined by representatives of two of the European businesses featured in the report in order to discuss the road to a prosperous future for business and society.
