Valeria Guerrieri


Valeria works as a researcher and contributing writer on circular economy project at WorldWatch Institute Europe.

Valeria holds a BA in Political Science and has recently achieved a MA in International Relations at Luiss University, in Rome.

After spending an exchange semester at Aarhus University (Denmark), in 2014 she won a scholarship for Section of Eskimology and Arctic Studies of University of Copenhagen, to write her Master’s thesis on The Arctic Energy Development and the Role of Indigenous peoples between Canada and Greenland.

Her research interests range from topics such as cultural change and identities transformation to sustainability and environmental issues, focusing in particular on the role of minorities and indigenous peoples from the Arctic region as well as from South America.

During her studies, she has often conducted analysis on environmental and energy policies and the impact they have on local population.

In line with her interdisciplinary background, she has previously worked as an Intern at the Front Desk of Estonian Embassy in Rome, where she has been collaborating to the structuring of External Relations and Partnerships, besides to the release of overviews and reports.

She has also volunteered as a Translator and Team Leader in several organizations including Survival Italy, Mediterranean Affairs, AIESEC and Erasmus Student Network.
