Research

Worldwatch Institute Europe carries out research by using an integrated and systems thinking approach. Findings, ideas and data are collected, analysed and synthesised to produce reports, newsletters and online services. Our work is carried out by research staff as well as research volunteers.

Facilitating Change
Worldwatch Institute Europe offers presentations and organises and participates in debates and events to raise awareness of the need for new sustainability policies and ways of thinking. We communicate and foster a global exchange of ideas and present results that promote clear examples of sustainable practices.

Focus Areas
Our priority focus areas include climate and energy, building a green economy, cultural change, biodiversity, and sustainable agriculture.

Targeting Europeans
We will target decision makers, industry, researchers and the wider European public. The strength of Worldwatch is to share knowledge with a wider target group by bringing academic research to a level of communication that is clear and accessible. It is often the case, that information and research fails to reach the relevant target groups due to communication barriers and a lack of sensitivity to the needs and values of target audiences. Worldwatch’s role is not only to conduct globally-respected research, but to reach out to citizens and communicate effectively.
